Message to families and staff:
Well, tomorrow morning looks to deliver our first major snow of the season. Normally, on a regular school day the question all of you would be wondering is: Will the superintendent call a snow day?
But since we are in remote learning, I want to inform you all that we will have a regular planned remote learning day tomorrow, Thursday – Dec. 17th.
Just a few points to remember:
1.We must meet our number of days, so if we cancel the day now – that means we must make it up in June. (Personally, I hope we can do more things in June!)
2.For those that want children to enjoy the snow tomorrow – I will remind you that there are breaks throughout the day in remote learning, a long lunch break, and optional time at the end of the day. I hope children do take advantage of some breaks tomorrow and get outside.
As an aside, I encourage office staff to work from home tomorrow – so please use email if you need to reach anyone. If power outages occur, even though the prediction is for light – not heavy – snow, please do not stress, and just let us know when you are able.
Enjoy the snow tomorrow,
Dr. LeClair
