WELCOME KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES 2026-27


We welcome all Easthampton kindergarteners and their families to the district! We are excited to welcome you to Mountain View School next fall. Students will enjoy large, state-of-the-art classrooms, beautiful outdoor learning spaces, and spacious cafeteria and gymnatorium areas. Our incredible teaching staff looks forward to meeting families and students as they transition to school!

Kindergarten registration packets will available in January 2026 to download and print using the buttons below. Printed packets can be requested at the school department during business hours.

Families and caregivers of children entering Kindergarten next fall can check back here for updates ad information about Kindergarten registration.


Upcoming events:

  • Kindergarten Information Night for caregivers will be held on February 4th, 2026 from 5:00-6:30pm at Mountain View School. Children are welcome to attend.
  • Kindergarten Registration Day will take place in early spring.
  • New student screenings will happen in late spring and early fall.
  • Class placement letters and bussing information sent out in early August.
  • All kindergarten families will be invited to attend meet and greet playdates with their future classmates throughout the summer 2026. 
  • First day of kindergarten date to be determined.

WELCOME PRESCHOOL FAMILIES (AGES 3-5)


Easthampton families interested in applying to attend Mountain View Preschool can learn more about our preschool by visiting the MVS Preschool Page, and completing a short application of interest.


Once students are screened and offered a spot in preschool, they will need to register. The registration packet can be downloaded and printed at home. If you need a printed application, or one in your language, please contact Mountain View School.

WELCOME NEW & RETURNING FAMILIES GRADES 1-12


Easthampton families with students in grades 1-12 who are returning after a time away, we welcome you back! Families who are new to Easthampton or enrolling students for the first time, we are excited to have you! New families enrolling/transferring to Easthampton Public Schools during the school year are invited to schedule a tour with the Family Engagement Coordinator.

Easthampton residents who currently homeschool, or who attend other area schools, and are considering attending Mountain View School (Grades PK-8) or Easthampton High School next year are welcome to schedule a tour in the spring.  

All PK-8th grade students in Easthampton attend Mountain View School, located at 200 Park St. Our 9-12 graders attend Easthampton High School, located at 70 Williston Ave.

Enrollment packets can be downloaded and printed using the links below. Enrollment packets can also be requested in person at 50 Payson Ave, 2nd floor.

SCHOOL OF CHOICE FAMILIES


The School Choice Program which Easthampton Public Schools (EPS) participates in allows parents the opportunity to have their children attend our schools while residing in a surrounding town. School of Choice applications for the 2025-26 academic year are now available.

Interested families can submit an Application for Admission to Easthampton Public Schools for 2026-27 by submitting the form below. Please complete and return the forms to Stephanie Fleury at 50 Payson Ave, 2nd Floor. If selected to enroll, families will need to complete the registration packet.

School Choice Application and Drawing Timeline:
 
May 1st* - Number of available school choice slots is announced on the EPS website.

June 1st* - Applications for first drawing due. First drawing will be held at the district office at 12pm.
July 1st* - If any additional seats become available, a second drawing will be held.
September 1st* - If any additional seats become available, a third drawing will be held.
*Or on the next business day, if the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday.

School Choice Applicant Tours at Mountain View School (Grades K-8) will be held in May prior to the first lottery drawing, for parents/guardians only.
