School PD Date Changes: 4/3 FULL DAY, 4/8 HALF DAY
On Monday, April 8, 2024, Massachusetts will be experiencing a solar eclipse from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM. You may already be aware of the danger of looking at the sun during the eclipse. Outdoor activity, practices and games should be approached with extreme caution as unavoidable exposure to the harmful intensity could happen accidentally with extreme harm.
Easthampton Public Schools have changed the date of the professional development half day from Wednesday, April 3, 2024 to Monday, April 8, 2024. April 3 will now be a full day of school for students and staff. There will be NO afterschool activities on April 8th. High school games start time have been altered or games rescheduled. CTEC students will not attend the afternoon sessions on April 8, 2024.
Champions Program will be open at Mountain View on April 8. However, students will not be allowed to participate in outdoor activities from 2-4:30pm.

El lunes 8 de abril de 2024, Massachusetts experimentará un eclipse solar entre las 2:00 p. m. y las 4:30 p. m. Quizás ya seas consciente del peligro que supone mirar al sol durante el eclipse. Las Escuelas Públicas de Easthampton han cambiado la fecha del medio día de desarrollo profesional del miércoles 3 de abril de 2024 al lunes 8 de abril de 2024. Temporary Closure of 50 Payson Offices
Due to unexpected HVAC issues, the municipal building at 50 Payson Ave. is closed until further notice. School department offices including transportation, business office, registration, family engagement, curriculum department, and special education, have been temporarily relocated to Mountain View School. Staff can be reached by calling the MVS main office at (413)-529-1530, visiting Mountain View in person, or contacting the staff member directly via email.
Bus pass payments can be accepted at the Mountain View Middle School main office, mailed to or dropped in the drop box at 50 Payson Avenue. Questions regarding bus passes can be directed to Maria Laszczkowski at MLaszczkowski@epsd.us.
We apologize for the inconvenience this causes and appreciate your patience and understanding as we prepare for the upcoming school year.

The Open House is a time for Mountain View students, their families, and teachers to connect. Students will be able to lead their families on a tour through their typical school day.

Mountain View Drop Off and Pick Up Information

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Elementary School (K-5) starts at 8:45am
There will be staff to greet elementary students each morning beginning at 8:30. Mountain View drop off will take place in the car drop off lane by the elementary entrance to the school. * If you wish to walk your child to their line, please park your car in a designated parking spot and walk your child to their teacher.
Afternoon Pick Up Elementary
You received pick up cards for your child with your back to school mailing.
Please bring the card with you when you pick up your child at dismissal so that we can pair your child with the correct individual picking up.
Mountain View pick ups will occur at the elementary entrance to the school. All caregivers must park their cars and report to the location where their child dismisses. Each classroom teacher will be holding a sign by homeroom.
If your child rides the bus, feel free to recycle the cards. Children riding the bus will be guided to the appropriate bus at dismissal by a staff member.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School starts at 8:15am.
There will be staff to greet students each morning beginning at 7:55 and students will report directly to their homeroom.
Middle School drop off will take place in the car drop off lane by the middle school entrance to the school.
Middle School students will exit Mountain View at 2:35 through the middle school exit.
All caregivers must park their cars in the designated lot, exit your car, meet your child at the sidewalk area near the middle school exit, and escort them back to your vehicle.
Students riding the bus will be guided to their bus by staff members at dismissal.
